
Despite of success to govern Malaysia again, the Barisan Nasional--a loose coalition of more than 13 small and regional political parties that was formed in 1973 lost it two-thirds majority of seats in 2008 and failed in Sunday's pooling to recoup the loses.
The GE-13 result brought a swift condemnation from the major opposition coalition of three parties, Pakatan Rakyat led by Anwar Ibrahim. The PR's leader told Malaysian that BN has robbed the rights of the people.
Opposition party will filed polls petitions to prove that BN lied in 30 parliamentary seats. According to report from thestaronline Malaysia could see a record number of election petitions which close to 100 being filed. Parties that want to file polls petitions may do so before the June 12 deadline.
And judges hearing petitions filed by political parties on the 13th General Election have to settle the cases within six months according to Chief Justice Tun Arifin zakaria.
