Sawit POIC is a State Government project and to be developed and managed by the Sawit Kinabalu Berhad Group thorugh it wholly owned subsidiary, Sandakan Bulkers Sdn Bhd.
With its over 30 years of experience in the palm oil industry, it has provided the successful investment arm of the government.
Let me just give some insights on what is SAWIT is doing now. To date, SAWIT has
1. 73,000 ha of oil palm plantations
2.8 mills with capacity of 445mt/hr
3. 1,500mt/day palm oil refinery and factionation plants
4. 400mt/day kernel crushing plant
