PETALING JAYA: KFC Malaysia is not about to chicken out or cry fowl during the general election. Instead, it is getting into the polling mood by offering a 20% discount for its bucket and barrel meals.
The offer, which started yesterday, is scheduled to end on April 30.
“The duration of the Election Promotion actually depends on the exact date of the elections.
“Should the elections be held later than the end of this month, we will extend the promotion until the actual date of the polls,” said Datuk Ahmad Zaki Zahid, managing director of QSR Brands (M) Holdings, which operates KFC Malaysia.
He said customers could enjoy the KFC meals by the bucket or barrel at the 20% discount only from 9.30pm till the stores close for the day.
For the 24-hour outlets, the offer is valid up to 2am daily. There are about 560 KFC outlets nationwide.
Ahmad Zaki said the promotion was to show KFC's support for Malaysians during the electoral period.
“The promotion is to cater to the people's needs, particularly those who will be working around the clock during the campaign and election period,” he said.
