KOTA KINABALU, Feb 19 (Bernama) -- Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa
Aman said as a prime mover for government's transformation programme,
the public service has an important role to ensure that Malaysia is well
positioned to become a developed nation by 2020.
In this regard, he urged federal and state services based in Sabah to
continue to give full attention so that all plans moved by Prime
Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak could be implemented more
effectively.
Nonetheless, he said, their performance last year had been satisfactory.
"Ministries and state agencies have performed well and some had gained
recognition, for example, the Sabah Ministry of Finance which received
recognition from the Auditor-General and was awarded the Excellent
Financial Management Accountability Index Award for 2011 and managed to
keep this award for 12 consecutive years," he said in a speech at the
opening of a performance management seminar, here Tuesday.
His speech was read by the Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister's Department, Datuk Nasrun Datu Mansur.
