Polling district officials must strengthen BN machinery – Musa

SANDAKAN: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman advised all Polling District Central Committee (PDCC) officials to understand the importance of knowing their role and duty to further strengthen the Barisan Nasional machinery.

Musa, who is the Sabah BN chairman, said the PDCC remains as a backbone for every election as it is the place to organise strategies, disseminate information and channel information among the leaders and people.

“Realising the role played by the Central Polling District (CPD), our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has encouraged every chief of CPD to take a day’s course to ensure that they understand their role.

“It is important for CPD in each area to learn and be properly guided in fulfilling their duties for the coming 13th general election,” he said during his visit to the election machinery base for Taman Airport Zone yesterday.

Looking at the preparation by the machinery, Musa was confident that the machinery in the area was at its standby mode to face election at any time.

However, he advised the people not to take the next election for granted, and solidarity with Wanita, Puteri and Pemuda leaders is important to win seats.

“We shall not only have to prepare for the election but also to know how to break the opposition’s propaganda.
“The opposition are desperate. They made various accusations claiming that there is no development carried under the ruling government.

“But I believe Sabahans are wise and mature to choose the best government for their future,” he said.
Also present were Sekong assemblyman Datuk Samsudin Yahya, Gum-Gum assemblyman Datuk Zakaria Mohd Edris, Umno Libaran division secretary Datuk Haji Basra Abdul Rahman and Libaran Umno Youth chief Suhaimi Hj Nasir.
