Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman has stressed the need for
civil servants to discharge their duties and responsibilities with full
commitment and dedication.
And, he also urged all civil servants to be positive and friendly when communicating or dealing with members of the public.
Musa who is also Finance Minister said this in his speech at the 2009 Finance Ministry Night here yesterday.
He also said the Finance Ministry was an important ministry which is responsible for the state’s financial planning.
“Every year, the ministry prepares the budget and distributes
allocations. The allocations given to the ministries, departments and
agencies are important to boost development and to bring about progress
for the people,” he added.
And commending the theme “Unity and Harmony” for the event, he said
it clearly showed the unity among the staff of the ministry and agencies
under it.
“It will bring about a positive effect on the quality and productivity of our services,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also congratulated the Finance
Ministry for winning the yearly “Sukan Dwi” held in Melaka on July 6-11
this year.
“I believe this will spur everyone to achieve more successes in future,” he added.
Also present were the Chief Minister’s wife Datin Seri Hajah Faridah
Haji Tussin, assistant finance ministers Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar
Titingan and Donald Mojuntin, and the ministry’s permanent secretary
Datuk Haji Yusof Kassim.
