Opposition only knows how to discredit

13th January, 2013

SANDAKAN: Opposition parties have been labelled as would-be politicians who are out of issues other than to discredit the good works done by the Barisan Nasional government.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman said these groups of people were only good at stirring troubles as they have no concrete issues to fester on.
“They are only good at slandering and blaming the ruling government. Such attitude shows that they lack ideas which can benefit the people, while the government listens to the rakyat and comes up with ideas and implementing them for the good of the rakyat,” he said.
“We practise politics of development for the people who can differentiate the brand of politics undertaken by the opposition,” he said at a meet-the-people session with the folks of Sungai Manila held at Dewan Kompleks Penyayang Taman Cahaya, Mile 12, Jalan Labuk here yesterday.
Musa who is also the Sungai Sibuga Assemblyman said the years of positive development undertaken by BN for the people were never outlined by the opposition.
“The progress and development that we are enjoying in the State now are results of hard work undertaken by the Barisan Nasional government.
“When we made a promise, we will fulfil it. When we made a commitment, we will see it through,” he said adding that BN would not fool with the rakyat unlike the opposition.
“The opposition will promise the moon and the stars and they know they will not be able to deliver,” he added.
The people must think twice whether they could afford to experience a lull in progress if they decided to support the opposition, he said.
“But I can assure you that if you decide to support them, they will let you down in the future,” he added.
“The opposition will enter villages carrying with them all sorts of tales to fool the people,” Musa said adding that he was confident that most voters would not be hoodwinked.
He reminded the people to think of the various programmes for the rakyat introduced by the national leadership.
“It is not once but twice, the government is introducing the Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia,” he said adding that the assistance was for all eligible Malaysians regardless of their races.
Present were Libaran MP Datuk Juslie Ajirol, Gum-Gum Assemblyman Datuk Zakaria Mohd Edris and Sandakan Municipal Council president Datuk Ir James Wong.
