BEAUFORT: Twenty-five households
who have been living in the dark will now have light in their lives with
the help of the Barisan Nasional government.
A total of 14 electricity poles are set to be erected soon,
connecting the electricity supply to the 25 houses in Kg Bakalau, near
here, at the cost of RM22,624.60.
The handover ceremony was performed by Community Development and
Consumer Affairs Minister, Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun recently, where she
said that the aid demonstrates the BN-led government’s concern towards
the people’s daily needs.
“The government listens to the people’s needs and the leaders always
work hard to solve the people’s problems. Just like today’s event, the
affected people will definitely live more comfortable lives with this
assistance,” she noted during the ceremony while urging the people to
continue supporting the BN government to ensure the continuity of
development.
