Sandakan- The Barisan Nasional (BN) will never waiver from its pledge to
help the needy and ensure all children in the country have access to
education.
Minister of Industrial Development, Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah said all
sorts of initiatives and aid will be provided to students in order to
produce a knowledge-based human capital by the year 2020.
He said it was strong proof that the government never neglected the needs of the people.
The
distribution of school bags to all children in Sabah for example, was a
sign of commitment from the government in making sure that the young
get a chance to have bright future.
“Children who are just
starting school especially, will be happy and excited to receive these
bags. I am happy to be giving them out because these children are
important assets to our developing country,” he said.
Raymond was speaking to reporters when met an event to distribute
schoolbags to 816 students in the Tanjung Papat constituency at school
hall of SJK(C) Chi Wah near here recently. He is also the assemblyman
for Tanjung Papat.
He reminded parents to always monitor their
children’s progress in school and not neglect them that they stray
towards social ills.
