HISTORY CAN’T BE CHANGE!

The immature decision taken by the Penang State Government, Lead by DAP on August 28 shows that the political party attest as the undemocratic political party by not adhere to the decision which has been finalized by Film Censorship Board and the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia on allowing the film TANDA PUTERA to be screening at all cinemas throughout Malaysia.

Following the incident, the state government is seen to threaten the cinema operators by suspending their license of operations if any of the cinemas broadcast the movie in the state. It is in the know that the local councils only have a power in issuing the licenses and don’t have any power over the contents of the film.

Moreover there are no any scenes which are claimed as slanderous that could provoke racial hatred as mention by Lim Guan Eng. It is just a solid history genre of movie. The incident which takes place during the insurgency should be portraying as what it is, there are scenes where the directors should not change as it will misinterpret the semantic of the movie and the history as a whole. Moreover the movie has been sensitively film as the research has been done before the shooting begins.

These issues should not be sensationalised by any party as it will create tension among races in Malaysia. Perhaps the Film Censorship Board and government have approved the license for this movie to be screening in cinemas across Malaysia should be respected. The DAP should have accept the fact that the reason behind the 13th May 1969 incident is due to their misbehaviour after celebrating the success in 1969 General Election and wanted to celebrate on the streets of Kuala Lumpur, where many non-Malays who dominate the crowd made rude remarks and gestures as they taunted the Kampung Baru Malays with such cries as “Melayu Balik Kampung” and “this is our country now”, this are the fact where the DAP should not hide from as this is part of history, and that is the sequence of events which lead to the 13th May 1969 tragedy.

“Tanda Putera” shows about the friendship and struggles of Malaysia’s second prime minister Tun Abdul Razak and his deputy Tun Dr. Ismail Abdul Rahman in dealing with the May 13th May 1969 tragedy.

Unlike “Tanda Putera”, “The New Village 1949” movie which championing the communist as the hero and the country’s fighter for independence is with intention to uplift the communist ideology back into Malaysia. “The New Village 1949” would only promotes communism and causes racial misunderstanding and that makes government stop the movie from screening.

Krisis Diesel: Kerajaan tumpukan penyelesaian pelbagai, bukan hanya tambahan kuota

BLACKOUT 505 Rallies to Brainwash Youth's Mind

A rally to express dissatisfaction over alleged irregularities in the 13th general election was held on June 15 in the city centre as part of the Black 505 gathering which began three days after may 5 polls.

Some of the political leaders and strategist believe the rallies, organised at various places, was an attempt to influenced the mind of Malaysian youths who would reach the voting age of 21 in the coming years.
They feel that youths would be indoctrinate to support the opposition pact "to correct" the alleged imbalances and unfair electoral system in the country because the majority of those who attend these rallies are youngster.
According to Ti, the opposition parties especially the DAP had succesfully convinced many Chinese voters to rejects the MCA and Barisan Nasional in the recently-concluded election and they would continue to do so until GE-14.
It is actually a good exposure to those young people out there to judge not only from one side but consider to look for both sides. Since the year of 2008 or more precisely from GE-12, the opposition has taken advantage on the internet. Now, the opposition pact also took advantage of the new social media instruments to gain support. as can be seen, they are using Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts to help them spread messages to their supporters.
Young people usually surfing internet 24/7 days and will engaged and viewed lots of information through images, YouTube videos and status comments on Facebook, Twitter or messages on mobile applications like WhatsApp.
Thus, these young people are constantly being influenced and stirred emotionally toward political party sentiments. This is what happening with the Black 505 rallies. People share images, videos and speeches over the network and it can influenced to young people.

According to political analyst Dr Sivamurugan Pandian, who is with Universiti Sains Malaysia said such a strategy worked well due to the low political literacy among the youths because DAP actually success adopted a strategy by highlighting the need of the people to fight for their rights.
