KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman urges Kolej Yayasan Sabah (KYS) to constantly keep abreast of developments and changes in the national and global economic landscape by offering courses that are more relevant to current demands.
“The choice of courses must take into consideration the changes that are taking place around us in order to be relevant to current demands.
“KYS must also introduce elements of soft skills, multitasking and entrepreneurship to ensure their graduates are competent and able to be part of the quality human capital required by the country,” he said.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the 17th KYS Convocation held at the Tun Ahmad Raffae Auditorium in Yayasan Sabah here yesterday.
He commended the college for pioneering a curricular model for academic, technical and vocational studies which had added value and flexibility.
“This approach enables students to do various study activities that comprise self-study, face-to-face study and continuous study,” said Musa.
